Fukiku Ostensen

Fukiko is the steam therapist and herbalist at Poca Poca Whole-body Herbal Steam. By bringing the special healing modality of steam from Japan and weaving it with the Western Herbalism that she’s been immersed in since moving to the Hudson Valley region, Fukiko’s practice is the meeting place of her love for plants and her ancestral lineage.
In addition, she organizes and facilitates community events focusing on women’s health and spirituality. In some of this work, she is a translator between English and Japanese, finding immense joy in serving as the bridge for the two realms, allowing new alchemical magic to occur.
